Pronounced sa-la-jin, based on the Korean word for disappearing, Justin Kim WooSŏk’s SARAJIN explores what we hold onto and what we let go of when the natural world begins to collapse around us. This spectacular short, inspired by the director’s research in Alaska after 10 billion snow crabs disappeared from the Bering Sea last year, follows an immigrant family and the tough decisions they have to make when the snow crabs they rely on completely disappear.

San Francisco, 1969, the film follows the (mis)adventures of our Cowboy of the Bay, as he balances fatherhood and marriage in a time of peace and free-love. Tired of bricklaying, Bill and his time-bomb of a best friend, Geno, hatch a 'get-rich quick' scheme that chronicles Bill's descent into becoming the "Baddest Mother Fucker in Northern California". WILDNESS explores a power duo and their hierarchy of corruption and crime, providing a stark contrast to their romantic generation. Forty years later, Bill and Geno's unique bank robbing techniques have never been confessed or re-created in modern cinema... Until now.
